As
you leave the village of Barberino Val d'Elsa
and drive along a sandy road down the wide and
open valley, coming past old wineries, a small
romanesque church, vineyards and olive groves,
you will reach the farmhouse Tafania which stands
in a most privileged location - at the end of
the road, on top of a small hill, and overlooking
the valley in three directions.
Nearest shopping at 4 km. in the villages of Barberino
or Tavarnelle.
The
dining room lies next to the kitchen, on the same
floor as the cosy living room which also has a
large fire place.

The
terrace at the back of the house is surrounded by
a lawn scattered with olive trees which blend into
the landscape. You will probably spend the evenings
on this side of the house, watching the setting
sun. The front of the house opens onto what we call
the "morning terrace". In summer you might want
to have breakfast here in the shade of the poplars
which flank the terrace.
