Casa Brandolini is situated in the vicinity of Capo d’Orso
on a unspoiled stretch of coast, where its natural state is intact and wild; it is an isolated
house, a few metres from the water, in surrounding countryside that has no equal in Sardinia
or even in the Mediterranean area as a whole. Perfectly smooth granite rocks in the most
extraordinary shapes surround the house.
Palau is on the Sardinian mainland just in front of the National Park of the Arcipelago
della Maddalena; ferries link Palau to La Maddalena, Genoa and Naples. Only five kilometres
from Palau are Punta Sardegna and Porto Rafael, fashionable spots for high society.
Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo are respectively thirty and forty kilometres away.
The nearest airport is Olbia, about fifty kilometres away, offering frequent
domestic and international flights. The closest hospital is at La Maddalena.

The house is surrounded
by rocks and a variety of plants, such as myrtle,
juniper, ilex and strawberry trees. From the rocks, sculpted by the sea and the
wind, you can dive into the sea, which is instantly
deep and is clean and limpid. |
|
| Just a quarter of an hour’'s
drive from the house are magnificent beaches,
such as the Isola dei Gabbiani, a much sought-after
destination for windsurfers. The National
Park of the Arcipelago della Maddalena is
recognized internationally as a marvel of
natural beauty, with the islands of Caprera,
Spargi, Budelli, La vezzi and Cavallo. At
Palau, it is simple to hire small boats; the
smooth waters of the sea at Palau are considered
to be a yachtsman’s paradise. |

Right in front of the
house there is a wonderful natural water pool
(about 200 square meters) where the water is between
1 and 3 feet deep.
