The two houses lie at 600
m. above sea level, close to the medieval castle
called Castelluccio belonging to the estate,
where exhibitions and a music festival take
place in summer (see Exhibitions and Music Festivals).
Fields and woods surround Belvedere, which includes
a large stone Granary. Over the long, two-storied
farmhouses grow vines and roses, and they are
surrounded by lavender and rosemary. The overall
atmosphere is one of rustic charm and comfort.
At the far end
of the gardens lies a charming pool with sunbeds
and deckchairs which is also used by guests
staying at Etrusco and Tartaruga.

The nearest shopping is at Montepulciano
or Chianciano, both 7 kms away.
A trattoria wich serves local country fare lies
just down the hill, a pleasant stroll from the
houses.
The name of the house means "beautiful
view" - rightly so, as all the Orcia valley and
the Amiata mountain are spread out below.
