The medieval castle of Castelluccio
(literally 'little castle') lies on the summit of a
hill on the La Foce estate. It was probably built in
the tenth century, though it had certainly been the
seat of an Etruscan acropolis centuries before.
A large, old wooden door leads up a stone ramp into
a pretty courtyard. At the end of July some of the concerts
of a music festival organised at La Foce are held here.
The two apartments for rent lie on the first floor.
The historical walled-in garden of Castelluccio is reached
through a wrought-iron gate which leads to a spacious
lawn with large shady trees and a pool (8x4,5 m) with
sunbeds and deckchairs. The pool is also used by the
guests of Belvedere 1 and Belvedere 2.

The view from the pool
is breathtaking. At the foot of the hill a small
trattoria serves excellent country-fare.
