ETIAS is an online preregistration program for non-European residents traveling to the Schengen area of Europe (29 countries that have abolished border controls at their common borders).

It will be required of citizens who are visa exempt, including those from 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇦🇺. The target launch date will be in late 2026.

When the system goes into effect, the process will be rapid, online and inexpensive (€20). The authorization will be good for 3 years and multiple entries. No consular visits, no intermediaries necessary!
